What's the Class Action Lawsuit About?

The Plaintiffs in the lawsuit allege that Homecomings charges and collects various improper fees from borrowers. Specifically, the Plaintiffs allege that Homecomings charges improper property inspection fees, late fees, unnecessary "force-placed insurance" premiums, and improper fees for using its "Speedpay" automated payment system. The Plaintiffs claim that Homecomings charges and collects these fees from borrowers even when these fees are either not legally due, or in amounts that are more than the amount properly due.
